Side windows too tight? Replaced seals.

My daughter and I just replaced the seals on the door window and wing window on her '54 chevy pickup. We bought a kit from Classic Industries. It looks great now but we can barely roll the window up and down because its so tight. Did we miss a step? Does it losen up after time? Or does anyone have ideas on how to make the window roll up and down easier.

Re: Side windows too tight? Replaced seals.

From reading other posts, it sounds like it just takes time for the rubber to compress and settle in. I would give it a while.

get some ivory bar soap and apply it to the contact areas. You can also use a dry silicone made by 3M 08897 Dry Silicone. Its great on window seals and doesn't leave a residue
