Question drivers seat rest will not lock

I have a 96 Silverado 1500 Extended Cab- I pulled the lever on the side of the seat (backrest) and the backrest released forward as usual. The problem is that it will not lock back in place. Any suggestions or ideas on what I can do to get it to engage?
Thanks in advance.

Re: drivers seat rest will not lock

Take the seat apart and find whats stuck. Happened to my 98 a couple years ago, my buddy had it fixed in like 10 min.
