headlight grounding

hey guys im currently installing my american autowire harness in my 72 c10. my question is where should i ground my headlights to

I don't think so since they are grounded through the three way plug.

My kit came with a spare wire to ground can I ground to the core support?

that's the way the headlights were when they came from GM they were grounded to the core support on these trucks


the core support was grounded to the truck fame too

There are 5 wires in the left headlight plug, 2 tan 2 green and a black, The black connects to the grounding lug on the headlight and runs to the core support. The tans and greens are for the high and low beams and one each goes to the right headlight with another black wire in the plug which is grounded to the right side core support.
The four headlight GMCs may be slightly different.

Here's a picture. The voltage regulator is grounded here as well.

Yes. VetteVet has it right. I rewired mine with the AA classic update kit as well last year.
