Disassemble bed
Just picked a 72 C10 long bed that's in process and looking forward to the change of brand - Been a Mopar person for years restoring many to my liking needed a change anyway the bed is in really good shape only a couple a dings pondering taking it apart seems you would be able to do a much better job by taking it apart is this a good - bad - or ugly idea suggestions and/or advise

I did mine in pieces.
Many bolts and the welds at the bottom corners at the tailgate and it falls apart. I used an impact and snapped the bolts around the bed floor and it made it easy. If they wouldn't snap, get the cutoff wheel out. Smitty

Yes, much easier with the bed apart plus you can get better protection in the seams when they are coated well. I just put my bed back together with it fully coated.
