Help needed with Eaton HO52 and HO72

Hello,

Can someone tell me how to tell the difference between an Eaton HO52 and an Eaton HO72? Are there external differences, internal?

I have an Eaton dually rearend in my 56' GMC Tow Truck and it currently has a 5:14 ring and pinion. I am looking for some thing more reasonable for every day driving. Any one have a lead to a 4:10 or 4:56?

Thanks,

Steve
