Tool box built into bedside

After looking at some pics someone posted it sparked my memory of a truck owned by a guy I went to school with. The truck was a...Chevy or GMC, I can't remember. The cool thing was that it had a tool box built into the drivers bedside just behind the cab. Has anyone else seen this? Have pics?

I think Ol' Buck just got a truck that has toolboxes built in to the bedsides, I don't think it was original though.

I'm pretty sure these were original. I don't remember enought about the truck to pin down a year, but I know it had top and bottom trim, it was orange and white, and it had a monster bumper option on the front with the push plates that stick up.

Was it down lower on the bedside? I have seen them there in pictures, let me see if I can find one...

Yes is was an option for out trucks. My truck originally came with that bed it also had a wood floor. My uncle junked it and picked up a regular fleetside bed with a metal floor. I'll get the option code for it out of my glovebox if you want.

Wish I had one. Then I wouldn't have had to make my behind the wheel well box.

I sure wish mine had the original style

I like these boxes, but its a shame they had to cut up the box to put them in.......I'm currently looking for a trailer or donor truck with a good box.

Ive got one on my longhorn but the previous owner removed everything but the door to install the third fuel tank. (who has the money to fill three tanks these days?!) Would like to pull that tank and put the box back in if I can find one.

Hey, that first bed is mine! I traded a Longhorn bed for it to GMCBLU. It's funny to click on a post and see something like that!
