Brake lines

Looking to switch my brake lines and want to get rid of the steel original lines and go with some flexible soft lines. What do you guys suggest? Thanks!

I've found lines made of a nickel/copper alloy to be good and easy to work with.Here's a link to an article about it:

You don't want to use flexible brake lines any where but on the front wheels to frame and rear end to frame. Soft flexible lines will expand under pressure and you will have a very soft pedal when braking.

This exactly^^. Like the others have stated only use flex lines at the caliper connections and rear end connection. The nickle plated copper is a very good line to work with, forms easy, flairs easier than stainless, last a long time, and a lot cheaper than stainless.

Oh yeah and make D@ng sure the soft line between frame and caliper/wheel cylinder on the front doesn't come into contact with the inner rim or weights on the inner rim during full lock turns!!!

Otherwise you could end up with ZERO line pressure really quickly. I know this from experience.

I'd just buy reproduction lines from Inline Tube, Classic Tube or one of the other tube companies.

If you have a disc conversion, get 71-72 lines and cut the hose holder off front of frame and weld to rear. I just used some from a junk truck and left the originals in place on my 70 3/4 ton when I did disc.

This is not an area where you want to reinvent the wheel. Steel has been a proven, effective material that's durable and lasts a long time. If corrosion is an issue, switch to stainless. Soft line for the entire system is a terrible, dangerous idea.
