old parts?

I'm putting a disk brake conversion kit and lowering spindles on from ECE. I was just wondering what people do with the old parts? Not the front end parts like tie rods, idler arms....but the spindle and drum brake set up. I don't want to just throw it away and someone else can use it possibly? Just asking before it gets tossed?????

And what a mess the upper lower a arms are.....50 years of dirt oil and grease!

Re: old parts?

Post a cheap for sale listing or free plus shipping. Some like to have spares for original trucks. Spindles get bent, threads get trashed, etc. Not as easy to find in junk yards these days. I never thought anyone would want take-out 3spds, manual steer gears, OEM spindles...disc or drum, but have been surprised to see people looking for such. I sold a 307 of unknown condition for parts for $100 on Craigslist. You never know.

Re: old parts?

OK.... as soon as I get the passenger side off i'll throw them on the board for shipping. Just didn't know if anything was worth keeping or passing along. Thanks for the reply

Re: old parts?

I used my old spindles and hubs to paint my rims.Cleaned all the grease out lubed up with oil, knocked all but one stud out and you can put rim on hub and give it a spin whille you shoot paint, worked great.

Re: old parts?

Do you have the backing plates?
I would be interested in those and the spindles.
You can private message me with any extra parts.

Thanks
Steve
