Wanted to Buy 66 K20 Original Rear Spring Blocks

Hi there! New to the site, working on a 66 K20 that was trash and slowly bringing her back. I want to put the original rear spring blocks in - My truck had PO blocks that were, well, lets be kind and say "not original". I am in CT. Anyone have a pair to sell?

Re: Wanted to Buy 66 K20 Original Rear Spring Blocks

Hi Joe. Sorry, it looks like I only have the front blocks left. I am working on getting another 64-66 vintage K20. I will let you know if I get it and if the rear blocks are intact. Thanks, Harlow

Thanks for looking, Harlow. I have the front blocks in good shape, just need the rears. Appreciate your courtesy!

I'm not sure if they did - My truck does not have lift blocks up front, but does have a couple of blocks on top of the springs, more like "Bump Stops"

Yes, these are not original. The PO added them. I have not been able to find originals so I may just reassemble with these blocks and change them out when an original set comes along.

Thank you yes. It may be correct. This is the block that goes between the bottom of the spring and the axle perch. The photos that I have seen show what looks to be similar to an I think it incorporates a bump stop too. Thank you!

Yes, they are strange for sure. I guess that a plain rectangular block is substantially heavier. Perhaps the designers wanted to reduce the weight a little. Anyway I prefer the original ones because they are "original".

Thanks but i think dSuper5 has a pair for me, just waiting to hear. Looking at photos, I don't think these blocks have a shock mount, but do have a bump stop. It appears that 3/4 ton trucks have the lower shock mount welded to the axle housing. It appears the one ton trucks had no rear shocks at all. I am not sure on this but both of my Eaton one ton H072 axles don't have the shock tabs - One is a 65 and the other is a 66...
