Cab Differances

well i am not new to anything 67-72 but i dont know speifics on this issue

i have a replacement cab for my 68 project but its a 72 cab. what are the differences? i know the mirror, gas tank, e brake, are all different but can i make the 72 cab into a 68? can i use my 68 e brake on the 72, can i use my 68 pedal assembly on the 72 and just drill the studs for the gas pedal into the 72 cab?

Re: Cab Differances

Little stuff as you mentioned...dimensionally the same on the outside to my knowledge. There's a 68 c20 cab hidden in my 69 swb...ebrake and throttle were the only two differences for me.

Re: Cab Differances

I just finished putting a 72 cab in place of my 67 cab and its very easy. Very minor differences that you can change-- or just leave depending on how "correct" you want the cab to be.

Re: Cab Differances

I know there were several changes made from 67 - 72 I think the floor pan is different on 67-68 and there were changes made on the dash in 69 like the ignition switch area. The fuse box is sideways on the 67-68 and the wiper switch is in a different spot. The 71 cab has an embossed spot inside where the rear view mirror goes. This was only used 1 year since 72 trucks put the mirror on the glass for safety.
