NOS Stuff

Picked up some cool NOS stuff today. Awhile back I bought out a buddies collection of parts for a SWB 71/72 K10 project he had been collecting years for.
We’ve been buds for almost 45 years the deal was made on what he thought he had (it was stored all over the place lol) He calls me now and then to tell me he’s unburied some more stuff. Got a call this morning.

Picked up all this 71/72 stuff NOS ... 72 drivers door, passenger door skin, grill surround, hood, right and left front wheel wells. Even though I knew this stuff eventually coming to me, it’s still fun actually getting to see it.

Don't always believe that NOS is the best!!
Here is a picture of a NOS 72 drivers door, you can see it fitted to the windshield post good but left the door almost 1/2 inch too low all around leaving it almost resting on the rocker panel, it was so bad I had to cut off the window frame and install a used one..

Talking NOS Joy !

Sweet ! .

GM has never been known for good fitting doors on trucks......

I got lucky on my 1949 3100 ~ it had *perfect* doors that fit alll the way 'round and the belt line crease matched up *perfectly* this on my old shop truck, one of the heavy Duty Mechanics built a Hot Rod '49 and pestered me for decades for my cab & doors....

I can't wait to see the rig built from all these N.O.S. parts ! .
