Dapper Lighting- Would you run halos?

Hey guys,
Quick poll here. If you were to run one of our projector kits, would you run chrome or black and halo or no halo? Do you guys want halogen? HID? LED?

We're trying to get a feel for what you guys are looking for in terms of lighting. Feel free to voice out what you are looking for in a projector headlight kit. I've attached different kits to get you an idea of the stuff we do.

Thanks!

Ben

Re: Dapper Lighting- Would you run halos?

Unfortunately this is all we have.

If anyone wants to be a headlight model, we'll give a discount to anyone who can take some good photos and do a small writeup on the forum.

PM or email me if you're interested.

IMO none of this type of lighting has a place on these trucks

Which one will turn my truck into an autobot?

This one appears to be the closest?

One of our trucks with any of those on the front would be pretty ugly. In fact, if my dog had a front that bad looking I would shave his backside and teach him to walk backwards.

I'd be interested in seeing a pic of these on a 71/72 with a black grill. It would look pretty mean IMO

Re: Dapper Lighting- Would you run halos?

From a technology perspective, if I were changing to a different lighting technology, I'd go with LED. I'd also give extra consideration to a supplier that published good photometric data. There's a LOT of terrible designs out there - companies that have stuffed HIDs in halogen housings, and the like. Publishing photometric data and comparisons with stock type headlights would go a lot to show that your company has gone the extra mile to deliver a good quality product and didn't just throw something together and maybe take some photos of shining it on a garage door. And a set of "upgraded" lights that gives a worse beam pattern is no upgrade. Give me as much about the beam pattern as you can.

From a visual standpoint, for my '72 truck, I'd like the lights to appear stock unless you look at them closely. I want people to think, "Oh, it's just a beater truck..." until they look under the hood and realize it's packing a Gen 3 motor.

My Dodge Dart project is a bit less subtle and I might consider high tech looking lights for it - I'd rather have something that is entirely lights, no blacked out or chrome "filled in" sections. This one would be an example of what I'd consider:

Or... how about a light with modern technology and a good beam pattern that looks like a Lucas PL?

We think that'd look pretty rude also! $269 for the black kit, however we're offering a discount to anyone willing to "model" our lights and snap some shots for us.

Re: Dapper Lighting- Would you run halos?

I'd be interested in some that look like factory (or damn close), but have modern technology. Preferably LED over HID any day. I tend to feel the same way as special-K and others. Part of the allure of these trucks for me is the classic looks. Putting projector style headlights, while amazing technology, doesn't fit in with the looks of the truck in my opinion.
