Removing Rear Coil Bolt

So Im removing the coil. I used a cut off for the bottom bolt. But the top coil is like bolted in with a piece of metal on the inside of the frame. what size bolt is on th inside of the frame. Should I take the bed off. I have a CPP notch kit coming this week. I was going to attempt it without the bed off.

Re: Removing Rear Coil Bolt

you do not need to pull the bed off. The nut is the same size (or should be) as the bolt holding it. You can fit a wrench in through the open side front or back. Try and slip a box end over the nut and hold it there. Let the frame wedge the wrench and simply ratchet the bolt off. You may want to spray some penetrating oil in there first to make it a bit easier. It wasn't much trouble when I did it.
