Quick question Height of 47/53 GMC GRILL

I have a GMC grill out here that a guy wants but can't tell for sure if it is small truck or big truck.

The sides are 13-1/2 inches tall.

I've either got to find a big box if it is small truck or get out the drill if it is big truck.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Not sure if this helps or not. Hope it does.

looks like the 4 bars are identical, can't speak for the frame.

47 and early 48 1/2 ton used the grille shown on the "big trucks" in that link with only 3 bars, then in mid 48 through 53 they used the type shown in that link on some of the 1/2 tons.

here is my 47 with the 3 bar "big truck" grille

the 49 1/2 ton I have has the type of grille you show. I think the big GMCs (1 1/2 ton and larger) all used the 47/48 style outers with 4 bars, so without going into the dark back yard for a measure, I think you have a 1/2 ton grille there

Thanks guys, That link shows that the bars are the same so I might just take it apart and ship the bars as he plans to spiff them up and paint them,
