67-72 short box 4x4 trucks... lets see pics

Where I come from these are rare. rarer still are fleetside shortys. Can we start a thread with the members owning these fine rigs putting up pics? I am instigating this because I am just about to build a '69 short box fleetside 4x4. I have looked around and they seem to be scattered about with Bad4x4 owning the finest example I have ever seen. I would love to see some of the other members trucks. I really need some inspiration. My frame was just trailered in from Vancouver tonight and I saw it in the dark...... I can say it looks like I am going to be looking for another frame.... but in the mean time I am going to start the build with what I have. I will start another thread to share that build with those that are interested (pretty hard to compare after seeing Bad4x4 built). let's see those short 4xs

Mines a 1970 SWB 4x4, only 2500 made that year.
54K original miles, intact factory drive-train.

Pics range from when I looked at it, when I brought it home and in it's current state of restoration.

All body work is done, just needs paint and assembly but it's taking freakin' forever.

Mike,

What is the primer/ protector you used on the cab? is that the original cab? I look at your post and I can see the future.

Re: 67-72 short box 4x4 trucks... lets see pics

If your talking about mine then I had it blasted, and primed it in Southern Poly Inc Epoxy Primer (SPI). Bought it online and they shipped it for free. $140 for 2 sprayable gallons. Very nice protection and seals very nice. The floor and bed are new and coated with the Taiwan EDP primer.

Check out my build thread for 2 1/2 years of pure fun...

nice work mike. looks like you got a real nice truck there. I found a complete 69 swb 4x4 running and driving good in decent shape for $2000. The only catch is its 500 miles away. I am trying to make it happen.

Here's a few pics of my 70 short fleet. I know, I know, it has a 71/72 front cap but that's the way I bought it.

I'm new to the 4 X 4 scene but been on the board for about 3 years. Have decided I'm not going broke fast enough with regular trucks so will try these.

These all look great. Alot of pics of them on trailors though. Got any of them in the mud. That would be awsome.

Nice shortbox's Tim. I trade you for a studebaker anytime. especially for the light blue 67. that is a sweet truck. Man that is a sweet truck . I just went back and looked at it. it has 3/4 ton gear! do you know anything about that truck? When I dream, I dream that I am driving that truck.
