can i run this tire on the front

a 275 45 20 on a 8.5 wide rim ? truck has a 3.5 inch drop on front tires are 29.8 tall and 10.5 wide

That's a big tire for the front but I think you will be fine provided you don't go any lower and you run the right backspacing. I currently run a 265/35r22 on a 6" backspace and 4" drop and I have plenty of clearance. My tire is only 0.1" narrower and 0.5" shorter than the tire you are looking at.

Hard to tell from just looking at a picture, but it does look like your fronts are fairly flush with the wheel openings. If so, you are probably going to rub with that tire. It's always best to just measure everything on your specific setup. There are so many variables that go into figuring out whether or not a wheel/tire setup is going to fit.
