Super Chevy Highlights

I went to the Memphis Motorsports Park, Super Chevy Show friday. What a great day It was 76 degrees, sunny, and low humidity. Here are some pics of 67-72 trucks I took and some info of the deals.

The first pic is a 56 GMC, factory 4X4, that was ordered by TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority), and is in great shape for the age. The guy was selling for $1900, or best offer.

Here is a pic of one of our Chevy trucks for sale. The guy wanted $5500 for the truck. It has 350/automatic, and was a real clean truck.

Here is another classic that was real clean. Again a 350/auto, factory air truck. He wanted $5000 for this one.

How about this patriotic beauty. It's a piece together GMC, with 350/auto, and factory air. The bed was real clean. Had rockers replaced with rivits however. He was asking $1900 for this one, and had a 71 parts truck to go with it. The rims and tires (#ord 5 lug), were being sold seperately.

How about this old Chevy!! Custom paint and all, for a price of only $6200. Had a custom interior that looked "cheezy", however, but still was real clean.

Here is a 71 GMC. Had brand new high performance engine. He didn't advertise a price, and wasn't around to answer questions.

How about a 72 Blazer 4X2 project for only $2900. This truck was totally rust free (had interior gutted). There was some bondo on the passenger rear quarter, but was probably from dents. Get this...It had a rebuilt 402 big block in it!!

Last one y'all, A very nice GMC that has a thumping 350. He was checking in with it, and turned many heads with the heavy lope sound. Probably the sweatest one there...oh yeah, he is asking $5500 for it.

Looks like there were some fairly sweet deals to be had at the Memphis Motorsports Park Super Chevy Show. Thanks for the pics - ALMOST made it seem like we were there.

Man this is the first time in 4 years. Not getting to go. Buddy that went with me moved off, wife is out of town for a week, yadda yadda. Was our year model truck racing this year? There was one last year, no hood, pretty much stripped of all EXTRA stuff running 12's. I think I got a pic somewhere. Thanks for the pics though, looks like another super show.

Yeah, there were some real good deals. Makes me mad though, I could have bought a truck already done for thousands less than I will have spent on mine. But, there is no substitute for doing the work yourself
