Hey all, new guy here from Central PA. Just picked up my long awaited C10 project!

Hi guys, I'm Cory from Central Pennsylvania. I've got loads of info on this site as a non-member and wanted to sign up to meet some ppl, see some cool trucks, get ideas and occasional help with mine. This place is pretty awesome and it seems like everyone knows what they're working with. Perfect! Okay, so I just picked up a 69 C10, Long wood box, original [I think] 350 and a Sag 4 speed. It's a driver, too. Drove it 2 hours home and all was well. Ended up putting a clutch in it, a valve cover set, tune up stuff like plugs, wires and a Streetfire HEI conversion. Runs great, has a slight pan leak at the back, hanging drop. Nothing to be concerned with as I plan on doing a crate around September or November along with a fresh Saginaw. Now, I don't really know that much about these old trucks in general, as I'm a 30 year old "new edge" millenial car technician. The stuff looks so simple ya gotta wonder why things go so well while working on these awesome smallblock beasts. Bahaha. I've definitely converted to the muscle scene! Gone are my standalone fuel management systems and 02 sensors, boost solenoids and EGT probes, and I can put away the headaches of CAN BUS/OBD bull****! On another note, I'm happy to have found my old truck that I've always dreamed of doing up on my own. Now that I'm a married man with kids, I needed something to keep me at home and busy haha. I'd love to post some pics of my new ride, but I am unsure of how to upload photos from my Samsung Galaxy phone. It wouldn't upload my profile pic either, so. If any of you guys could give me a hell yes and some help on how to post a pic, that would be great!

I'm a tech working on late model cars, too. My truck still has points/condenser and a carburetor. No plans to change it.
On Android phones, upload the pics to Photobucket and use the Firefox browser to copy and paste them into the pic function of this forum. Chrome won't copy pics.

Hey thanks SHP4MAN! Good info. I like to say if it's not broke, don't fix it. Mine left me on the side of the road and just up and died on me, so I figured why not? It was cheap, too.

Nice truck. The bumperless front end is very clean.

Re: Hey all, new guy here from Central PA. Just picked up my long awaited C10 project

Thanks sir! It's like sorta half done. Someone started on the cab and did the corners, rockers, new floors and seat. They changed the interior color to black, from its original red Custom trim, and that seriously hurts, but it's otherwise rot free and ready to have the body gone over again before paint. One thing at a time, though, no? 'Least it runs and drives so I can replace as I go and enjoy the damn thing. Couldn't settle for a stalled-out garage project. Haha
