'63-72 1/2 ton front coil question

I was wondering if any one knew if '62-72 1/2 ton front coils would work on a '73-up?
if not......why?
Thanks

Moog lists different part numbers for replacement units.

Re: '63-72 1/2 ton front coil question

if i remember right it is height and diameter that sets them apart. I will have to check when i make it back home as i have both sets at my house. I will let you know then.

I just replaced my '69's front springs for units from the '73-'87 year models. The latter is a little stiffer and gave me a 2" lift. I also replaced my rears with those for a '69 'burb...also gave me 2" lift over what I had on it.

If you're not looking for lift, the former years may give you a drop....but mine is a work truck and I needed the little extra "oomph"!
