Post How to remove engine crossmember 71 K10

Hello, I'm in the process of replacing the rear main seal in my 71 K10. To get to the RMS I need to pull the oil pan. I have the engine supported by a cherry picker. All of the crossmember bolts and engine mount bolts are removed. I cant seem to get enough room to remove any of the pieces of the crossmember. Please help! Thank youi.

Re: How to remove engine crossmember 71 K10

Since you already have the cherry picker attached to the engine it might be easier to remove the distributor and lift the engine and transmissions up enough for the pan to come off. Should only have to raise the front of the engine 3-4 inches and leave the cross member in.
