Tossed the spindles on today just to test fit them. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to smooth the spindles before painting them?

Drimmel tool for tight areas and 90 degree angle grinder with rolox disks for the larger areas would probably be the quickest.

I finally decided on wheels. Bonneville G 22x10 5.5bs and 20x8.5 5.25bs.

Still waiting on the wheels. Once i get them I'll get the tires mounted and start mocking up my bed. I'll be raising the bed floor about 9".

I also found a motor that i should be picking up in a few weeks. It's slowly coming together

Thank you! I've always loved these wheels. A bit pricey and more than I planned to spend, but I knew that I'd regret it if I didnt get the wheels that I really wanted.

Unfortuantely Billet Specialties is backlogged so I've been waiting awhile. I feel like a kid waiting to open presents on Christmas

Has anyone had any trouble threading the del-sphere joints into their PB trailing arms? Says to leave a 1/4" space between the joint and the lock nut. On both of mine they stop threading and leave about 3/4" gap which is pushing my rear end back too far.

Almost seems like they aren't tapped deep enough.

I would try running a tap through the threads.

Pulled the bed off to tie up a couple loose ends before my wheels get here. The pictures show up right on my phone, but when i attach them to the post they keep rotating.

Wheels make the truck.
I see so many high dollar builds with mega dollars spent on engines and chassis work,... then they go cheap on the wheels.
I guess everyone thinks differently.

I couldn't agree more, wheels make or break any custom vehicle. Thank you for the kind words. If you ever make it to any shows close to KC let me know. I'm a short drive away and would enjoy meeting some fellow board members.

Does anyone here have a contact at Billet Specialties? I was just wanting an update on my wheels but I seem to be an inconvenience to their customer service representative. I'm leaving the country in s few weeks and wanted to verify they would be here before I leave.

This is the response I got from them.

"YOU HAVE CONTACT ******* AND ASK THEM THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO LOOK IT UP WITH OUT A PO."

Maybe I'm taking it too personal but I that doesn't seem like the proper way to respond to a customer that has patiently been waiting for 5 weeks.

I purchased the wheels through a respected forum vendor but I don't have an order # or PO. I contacted the vendor last Wednesday for an update but I think they may be on vacation or out of the office.

My Bonneville G's finally showed up. I'm in Europe for work at the moment, but I'm flying home today. Can't wait to get the tires mounted and start mocking up the bed.
