Leveling kit question

I have a 2005 silverado crew cab z71 4x4 and I am wanting to put a leveling kit on it. Can't afford a lift kit so gonna do leveling. My question is what is the best leveling kit? I was looking in buying the Rough Country kit. Some people say Rough County is not a good quality kit. Just wanted some peoples opinion. It seems like the RC kit is good because it comes with shocks and all. Whats your advice?

Re: Leveling kit question

Ok. I thought about doing that but I would rater go with lifting the rear some and getting the different keys and the RC kit comes with shocks.
Anybody have an opinion on the Rough Country kit?

Re: Leveling kit question

Rough country makes good stuff.

I am with scatesracing all the way! Different keys literally have the same effect on the suspension as tightening your existing keys, ask Rough Country they will tell you the truth. Lift Kit Keys are indexed differently so you can twist the bar tighter than the stock Keys will allow...Even more of a secret is that they will sell you ford Keys or the equivalent and if you look on line you can pick them up new for real cheap. If you want more info on leveling the front of your truck look at my 03 silverado thread and it will go into depth.

yes, get new shocks... When I leveled the front of my 1500HD I left the stock shocks on and I beat those shocks to pieces in no time. The only shocks I found for a 2" front lift was bilstien and they are awesome.
