cab corner patch panel question

I have to repair a cab corner due to a crap repair done years ago. The original corner got smashed a little on a stump, deer hunting in the 80s (I was 6 or 7 at the time so I may be off on the details!). The damaged area was small and on the bottom section of the panel but it was a nasty ding.

I am in the process of replacing the rocker and discovered the repair from years ago. The memory of the hunting incident came back as soon as I found it.

I am sure my pops just took it to a buddy to fix.

Check this out.....

who ever my pops buddy was that 'fixed' this literally just cut out the bad section, pulled the metal back into shape, filled the corner with newspaper and then used bondo to pack the hole. I assume the news paper was some sort of backer. This all being said the repair lasted a very long time undiscovered! Has anyone ever saw something like this?

This being said.......
(*the actual question)

I can get an Eckler panel on Amazon prime. This makes it easy and fast.
I can also order from Brothers (still easy but not as quick as prime)
I dont know where to get Triplus (and I am in a hurry). Anyone have a good place to buy Triplus?

Is there a quality difference between these choices that would merit the any additional wait time?

Thanks,

~JH

Re: cab corner patch panel question

NOOOO. There are crap cab corners and good ones. Tri-Plus for example is one that will be good and any of the member board vendors will be able to supply you with a quality part that will fit.
