Also the the Boston speaker are not marked as positive or negative at the terminals. How do I tell which one is which?

I'm not sure how Boston does it but normally the larger terminal will be stamped positive on the terminal itself of somewhere in the vicinity/is positive, and whichever terminal has the wire soldered to it will be positive.

Edit:just looked at a newer pair of Boston's and the large terminal is positive and small is negative.
