Switched circuit for drl's

Hello fellow C-10ers

i am upgrading my headlights to LED' Headlamps from JWSpeaker. The ones i have chosen have DRL's built into them. I would like to have the DRL's to function like DRL's, ie: only on when the ignition switch is on and off when the switch is off. can someone point out to me how to accomplish that? I have also wired the truck to not have the voltage regulator, (new internal regulated alternator), being that i still have the plug for the voltage regulator could i incorporate the drl's into that, so basically my question is, is one of the wires from that connector switched? (please don't kill me for asking such a question about the voltage regulator connector) If someone could give me a right way. i also have a new front harness i'm goona put in with the LED headlights.
thanks and please be kind i'm good mechanically not electrically.

Use the pink wire from the ignition switch to activate a relay.

Re: Switched circuit for drl's

Correct. Just wire a relay to the drl side and use the pink wire , or any othe ign wire that may be close to fire the relay. I might add, for anyone wanting to do something like this ...here is a link for a good setup at a great price. He will make the wires as long as you need and it's all top notch and water tight.
Look at this on eBay
