Re: project " Blue-Ray"

got the trans cleaned/painted....there looked to be a spot at the front of the pan where something punchured it, and someone put a plastic cap in there...so, what i did was drilled that puncher hole to .5" and welded a nut on the inside of the pan, and installed a bolt there, thus making draining the trans fluid possible, without having to remoce the pan....thats the bolt you see in the trans pan near the front...

Re: project " Blue-Ray"

bit more progress...got the motor mount adaptor brackets moddifed, and the clam shells mounted to them...also joined the engine and trans together, for a trial fit....the trans x-member had to be moved back about 1" to get the motor to fit where i needed it to be....then pulled the moddifed plates/clam shells out blasted them and painted them....

Re: project " Blue-Ray"

i know the crank pulley needs to be cleaned/painted, it'll get attention soon....
also test fitted the exhaust manifolds, they clear on the driver side. the pass. side needed a small notch on the frame, but nothing major...they fit neatly and should'nt be a problem to retro fit to existing exhaust....also here is some pics of how well the oil pan and trans pan fit this frame...

Re: project " Blue-Ray"

here are a few pics of the final fitment of the eng/trans....got everything modified to fit as i want and painted too...after that, the eng/trans came out so i could give attention to the firewall. got the firewall stripped and starting removing the paint, and some black textured stuff, that was SUPER HARD to remove (almost like tar)...also there are a few misc holes that are getting filled, but we're going back with the factory a/c & heat unit...

Thanks for checking it out! I am going with the origional blue two tone. I like the color and the stock look too. only changes are the motor/trans and drop kit, new guages, and other small things here and there. Don gets all the credit for style and looks that go into this build. he is good . Please keep checking it out as it goes together. Its just a daily driver for now when done , but in future could make it a show when i get rich. ha ha yea right.
