Harrison heater core

The heater core in my '59 Harrison heater was leaking so its been bypassed all spring summer but now its time to fix it. I believe mine is a dealer installed unit, it is definitely not the factory deluxe model I've seen referenced on the forum. Anyone know where to buy a reasonable replacement core or a core that would fit with a little modification? The 66-early 70's f100 core looks like its pretty close. http://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_tr...thru-f250.html

Re: Harrison heater core

When I ran my stock heater I went to the parts store and found one that was the same size with outlets on the same end. I soldered on some elbows thru the firewall and used an inline control valve. Cannot remember what worked (it was 30 years ago) and that was when they had catalogs you could thumb through, cross indexed by model and size. I know the local NAPA store was told to toss their catalogs when they went to a computer system, but one of the guys stashed the old ones them under the counter because they get so many guys like me showing up.
