I was just wondering what people pay for a 67-72 Suburban that needs alot of work. I.E. body, rust underneath, good running condition?

I paid $200 for the 71 Burb I'm building, $450 for a 72 bigblock Burb parts truck and traded a nice Caprice wagon, loaded with leather & extra parts for a 72 burb just so I could get the rust free doors that came with it... The 71 was not running, the BB truck runs and the other one drove to NJ without a problem from Ohio... The last one now resides in MD...

I paid 1100 for a 72 burb in a little better shape than yours (but not much) I also paid 7000 for a near rust free 70 burb originally from Cali.

I payed 1350.00 off ebay with rust was a 4x4 with 6 banger that needed some help Tune up,still driveing it today daily driver runs good.This was about 3 yrs ago.

For my '72, I paid $4500CDN ready to roll, a little bit of bondo in the front fenders, already lowered, and needing a bit of work on the interior(very little); I've been offered a 2000 Dodge 4x4 full load SLT, straight across for it, and also been offered $9000 cash, but turned both down.
For my '68, I paid $1500CDN, driving condition(runs very well), needs pass. front rocker, a little work in the rear 1/4's and front fenders. I've already been offered $3000 for it, and turned it down, cold.

For my 68 292 w/ 4 speed paid $800 in Feb 06 did tune-up and it's been my daily driver. I did rockers too.

hmmm I paid $2800. It needs body work(rust, no dents)/paintjob and alot of rust and holes underneath. Did I get screwed on my 1972? It runs great with a fairly new transmission and exhaust.

i paid $450 for mine no motor or trans, the guy put a new quarter in it, 3 new door jams, and he was in the process of working on the floor and roof header panel/over the windshield. i dont think its not bad for being a Michigan truck. i think its prefect for what im going to do with it a offroader all the way

traded a nice '77 blazer for my '67 burb. I got the short end of the deal, but I'm happy. Hey Towstrap, can't wait to see your '68 with 1 ton axles on 44's.

well i have a set of 2 1/2ton military rockwell axles with a set of 56" tractors im thinking of too but i think im going to go with the 44s first

heres a pic to give you an idea of what its going to look like 53" michelins or 56" tractors

$3800 for my 68 Panel. It has 305HO with 700R4. Body good but rust floors and kick panels. Soon to have 396.

I paid 3k for my burb but dont tell my wife she would hang me. My d60 should be here this week and if things go good it will be a 1ton by the end of teh week.

Which one? it would scare me again to think what I paid, the time it took to get them, the gas and that none of them have been worked on.......yet. The gathering parts took a lot of time,stripping parts vehicles, then moving everything to a new shop, then lots of time no money, then no time, no money!

I see you have the same doors as me. How do you keep them open? one slight bump and the bastards close in on me. Is is hard to convert it back to a tailgate?

Mine have more of a trouble staying closed then open . The hole to put the claw shell doors are already there so its a bolt in swap.

I paid 1500 bucks for my 67 suburban. It needs some rust repair like most of them, it did run when I got it but not to great because timing was off. Fixed that and did a minor tune up and now it runs good other than the trans needing rebuilt.

Free.....my G'ma bought it when it was a few years old & brought me home from the hospital in it.

I recieved it after graduating from college....running w/ a 250/powerglide.

I have since built a very mild 350 & installed it w/ a TH-350 trans, 5-lug swap front & rear, & lowered it w/ drop spindles. I raised it back up & have plans for a BB/overdrive swap.

Sitting in storage @ the moment....sadly.

I think I got a good deal, I paid $1500. Ran good but looked like this. Fender damage, paint was/is bad and there's rust on the panels, and the groove of the rockers. It's not what it's worth to others, it's all about what is worth to you. Unless you are selling, then it's all about what others think LOL clear as mud?

$750 last year for my '69 4x4.....6 cyl, manual steering and brakes, posi, typical rust....but all original and runs and drives.....
Planning on getting a '71/2 truck with AT to swap out axles, crossmembers, PS, PB, etc....AND a 454.....
