difference between 48-54 chevy frame and 55-58 frame?
are there any significant differences between the 48-54 frames and the 55-59 frames? specifically the cab mount locations. my 58 frame is trashed and i can get a 51 at reasonable price. the only obvious difference i can see is the older one has running board mounts. also, has anyone installe the crown vic IFS? thanks.

Yes, the frames are completely different and are not interchangeable.
