Under hood light from 88 + Chevy truck/van. They have about 25 ft of wire that reels in and a magnetic base. Just attach some where in the engine compartment, and run power to it. It's nice to have when you don't have a flash light available, plus with the magnetic base you have both hands free. Think I paid like five bucks at the pick and pull.

Found a roof rack off an 07 Suburban 3 years ago for $25.00 and mounted it on my '90 Burb with the use of a cordless drill and a Torx driver.

I swapped a TH400 for a TH700R4 in my Burb. well over $50,-...but since my gear indicator was broken I made a simple new one:



and to keep track of my mileage I added the manual small mile-gauge:

I did this as well. Comes in handy!

didnt want to spent 130 dollars on a dash cover, so i improvised cost me about 40 dollars to recover my dash, looks alot better than what i started with!

here are a few truck and one non-truck (well sort of) that are low costers....

1. key pop shaved handles... free
2. headliner console for my sunglasses, radio remote and a handy light.
(from a corolla. base is mdf shaped and covered w/ black vinyl)
3. rear speaker boxes- scrap plywood and same black vinyl
4. front kick panel speaker housings made onto the stock panels.
(basically plywood, cloth, f/g resin/matt, and bondo- same black vinyl)
5. TOTALLY "borrowed" the key idea from a guy on "instructables.com" it is very handy AND gives me good leverage on

all well south of 50.00 if you have some basic stuff laying around like plywood, resin, matt, etc...

the key thing is truck related b/c the keys to my square are on it!

my two fav mods to my dually were my bilet grill which i got lucky and got it on ebay for $50 and my coil spacers $55 so $% bucks over but close enough. i think they made it look better

hey Kylep,
I didnt have any kind of wire up in the roof other than the stock dome which is only hot if the door is open.
I ran a ground from the stock ground connection bar and jumped in the hot wire at the fuse box and up the lt pillar trim. I wired it to a keyed accessory circuit first, then changed it after a few weeks of using it to a constant hot- so i could turn it on w/o the key in the ignition. (same thing w/ the stereo...) just remember to turn them off!!!

Paint your hitch receiver and undercarriage. Don't forget to powerwash it all first!

Buy the rebuild kit for your door hinges and get new striker pins

i did another little under 50 dollar mod to my trim today, i decided to change the paint were going with gloss black with white deck stripes. so i decided to refubish my trim, lmc trim in real expensive and most of my trim was in good enough condition. first thing buff the entire trim piece with a little mini buffing pads you can get them at home depot for 10 bucks then tape it off and paint it.





it turned out really good, im going to let the paint harden in the sun for a day or two then go and rebuff everything
all in all it cost about 20 dollars to paint all my trim.

$2 - Original 1980 Presidential Campaign Bumper Sticker for what was my truck's first election cycle...
Free - "Cisco" flat magnet cut to fit the bumper sticker and make it removable
Goes great with the vintage Texas license plates w/ 78 Registration sticker. Get tons of compliments on it. Draws historical parallels without being obnoxiously political. All in all, a great mod.

Peel & Seal for less than 50 bucks you can add some sound deadening to your vehicle. has do be one of the best mods ive done to both my trucks

While I had the cluster out, I decided I might as well paint it chrome as well. I took everything out, washed it, and then hit it with a chrome spray paint. Looks great!









I also did the back side of the gauge cover. First, without taping it off….





And now on a second cover, I taped the backside. Definitely worth taping off!! Any tiny amount of overspray could be removed with goof-off or in my case, a little bit of gas. Results are good.

like ripping the home stereo speakers out of your truck and all the hacked wiring that went with it. Also the disgusting euro headlights and taillights that were on mine when i got it.
