Intermediate steering shaft question ??

Im considering changing my K10 from the 4 speed manual to an automatic. I have almost everything except for the steering column. I found a nice column here locally but he had to use the intermediate shaft from it for his project. Are all truck intermediate shafts the same from 3ott , auto , tilt ? The reason in asking is i could just use the shaft from my 3ott column in the auto column im considering purchasing. If they are not the same i guess i could pick one up but just wondering.. I do know the motor home columns are different in some way but this is a truck column.. Thanks
