Daphne: 68 short step

Last summer I pulled the 350/350 out to rebuild and found out my block was cracked. I searched for about a month for a block when I ran accross killer`s 71. It was then when I realized what I want to do. A clasic look with modern power. I decided to go with the 5.3l engine and 4l60e trans. 68 short step did a great job on killer`s 71(R.I.P.) and his 68. And that has been my inspiation. I`m not building a trailer queen show truck, but rather a modern muscle truck that will get driven ALOT. I will post some pics in the next couple of days to show you guys what I`m starting with.

Re: Daphne: 68 short step

ok, on the photobucket page below each pic you should see "img code" and a box next to it. click inside the box so it highlights, hit 'ctrl + c' to copy the link. come back to the forum and hit 'ctrl + v' to paste it in the message box. do that for each pic you want to post. i think you have a max of 10 pics per post. that should be it.

Re: Daphne: 68 short step

i guess thats where we differ, i did a 180 on the highway and slammed into the guardrail of a bridge. glad no one was around me when my truck decided to have a little fun.

bald tires, full gas tank behind rear diff, wet roads, and the tranny downshifting when changing lanes is not a good combination.
