Torque converter clutch solenoid

Hi guys having difficulty finding an answer for this one. My truck is an 84 c10 350/700r4. Well the thing seems like when it is locking up it vibrates until I hit the brakes. I was told it was the tcc solenoid, so I dropped the pan and bought a new one from the parts store. My one that is in my truck is a single wire and the replacements are 2 wire. Will a two wire work? Looks like maybe you have to ground the extra wire out in the case? Thanks for the help in advance!

Yep, Just ground the black wire & it will function like your 1 wire TCC solenoid.

Thanks, that's kind of what I figured just wanted to make sure. Do you foresee that being my vibration issue? I think I've pretty much got it narrowed down to that or a bad converter.

Re: Torque converter clutch solenoid

Were the originals a light green color? If so it may be bad, if it's the original converter.

The factory original converters were not painted at all, Just an ID sticker.

It's probably converter shudder (The converter clutch itself), Have a local converter builder install a Woven Carbon Clutch in yours.......If this was a 30 spline input, You could use a off the shelf '98-'01 298mm 4L60E converter, But a '85 700R4 is 27 spline.
