macco actually has different stages. the $299 is their bottom dollar job, so even i wouldnt try that one. i know a guy who paid $750 to shoot his buick white (i know its the easiest to shoot) at macco, and they did a great job. but it really depends on how they prep it and the condition of your current paint job. no body work and good paint, then you can get away with just wetsanding off the clear and reshoot over that (of course trusting the previous prep work on the previous paint job). me personally, i wouldnt spend over 1500. but i know i couldnt get away with that with the amount of work needed on my truck. thats why im learning to do it myself lol
