Rear Chevrolet Emblem

I have an emblem I believe to be from a 67-72. I haven't had any luck with the PN. What are the length and height dimensions of this emblem?

Tim
If talking about this one it should be about 7/8" tall by 15.25" long with 4 studs

I was just up your way on Monday and got rushed and forgot to bring the parts you wanted earlier. I was not supposed to be that way until next week . I will probably be back up Bethesda and surrounding areas in 2 weeks. Will try to remember it all then and get up with you.

Richard

Re: Rear Chevrolet Emblem

Mine measures and looks the same. I wonder what the part# on yours is. I didn't find it in my parts book. The PN on mine is 3970884 on the fat part of the 'V'.

As far as you bring parts when you are over this way. It would be great to have you come by for the social value and to see just how a hillbilly lives. But I know you are over for work and I'm up the road a piece from Bethesda. You know how that area is traffic hell. I don't want to put you through any extra of that. It's a cow path up this way of steady commuters coming out of there. The other thing is, I really really really want to get over on the shore. Been way too long (since I came to your show). This rainy weather has me all screwed up on my work schedule. I had a full plate, including weekend stuff for friends, and all that is dragging out. Going to see my mom this weekend. Been wanting to do that since April. Maybe the next weekend. The b!tch of it all is, any one of those rainy days would have worked out had I not had such high hopes on doing what was planned that day... only to end up doing neither.

Let me remember, the bezel, the small back window, and I believe there was a third item that evades me at the moment. I already bought the same cluster before, only to unpack, observe damage, and dump in garbage can. Definitely no shipping on that deal.

Thanks for the dimensions. This is a nice one. Was painted over all it's life on a VFD vehicle, just wasn't sure if it was Suburban or Van. Nice chrome, just needs cleaned and waxed

Re: Rear Chevrolet Emblem

Tim,
No worries on the parts they are here with your name on them including the deluxe side markers. Here are a few pictures of my NOS one I bought for the panel truck if it ever makes it to surgery.

Re: Rear Chevrolet Emblem

Tim, if you look at how round the "O" is on yours compared to Richards being a little squared off, will tell you yours looks like a van. Yours probably has 3 studs instead of the burb being 4.

Re: Rear Chevrolet Emblem

Thanks Eric. You nailed it. Mine does have three studs...and different PN. Funny they are the same measurements. Very similar but different. Thanks Richard, want to trade?

The one I have here in the house is the same as Richards PT3894637 and has 4 studs. I have one out in the shop and I will check it when I go out.

Re: Rear Chevrolet Emblem

I'll sell him this one if the different mount holes and "O" don't matter. The correct one is reproduced, if he needs 100% original and can't find a clean non-pitted one. This one is cleanand would look right to 99.9% of people.
