I just started on it again over the weekend I'lltry to get more pics up soon.As for the stantz,I hand build the chassis to my own specs.The frame is 2"x4"x.250",the front is mustangII with tubular upper and lower control arms.I bought the kit from a friend,who cut it up(thats why the center looks wierd)for a rear drive VW,he gave up on the bug and i bought the kit for $150.00.As for the width,as far as I know it is the same 34"width that was stock.When I bought the truck all it was,was a cab and bed.So I had no chose but to built the chassis.The truck will lay rocker and the frame is about 1" of the ground.The suspension will be air bagged.

Well I'm going to try and revive this thread. Life happens and the project got derailed. In the photos you can not see was a 1958 GMC cab with a Chevy front clip and step side bed. I built a 2x4 box tube frame and the truck laid hard on the rockers. That was back in my mini truck days where everything had to on it's lay rockers. Well times change and needs change just as fast. My side hustle shop has now become a full time gig while also designing,manufacturing my own line of suspension products. So the frame I build years ago got sold and now I am building a new chassis. I am up in the air on drive line. I have at my dispose a 2006 SRT 6.1 Hemi and transmission, a 2003 6.0 with 4l80e transmission, a 283 with a 700r-4 transmission. I'm kinda leaning towards the Hemi swap just to be different and also to pay homage to the past where guys would dump Hemi's into Chevy's during the 60's.

This truck will end up pulling a trailer often and will also be able to handle its own on a Good Guys Autocross course. It will be a daily driver and I plan to actually use it as a legit shop truck to promote my shop. I will post some photos once I get back to work on it. Right now I am building a 1964 ford F100 for a local business owner,screwing together a low buck 67'c/10, and designing some new parts for 2018. Those will keep me busy for a few months but I will do my best to make some progress on the truck.
