I have overload springs on my 62 half ton. Does anyone else have them?

Interesting design! I've got two pairs, but they're different: They have mounts that bolt to the outboard of the frame, and they're single-curve, not that S-shape like yours.
They come down where the axle pad sits on the trailing arm, and there's an additional plate that mounts between the housing and the arm--it has an "ear" on it, with a rubber pad that the end of the helper spring contacts.

I have the same style springs on my ‘63 longbed trailer. It was a Fremont truck.

Checking in down in Medford, OR (for the next 15 days lol,) my 64 has the overloads! Used to be the only rear suspension for a while! Got the wrangler rear springs in the back now.

Well, ya made me look. My 3/4 ton has something similar, though rather more straight forward. Mine go from the rear member forward to a pad (or tongue) sticking out from the coil spring's mounting pad. Yours are interesting in an engineering aspect

Thanks everyone for your input on the overload springs!
On the 63-66 they had a different shock config. that enabled them to put the spring behind the axel. But in 60-62 with the shock behind the axel they would have had to put the overload forward if this was a factory option. My question, are these factory correct?

A quick look in the factory assembly manual on pages 298/399 shows overloads, what who can tell since it's such an informative book. The only other place I could find springs were starting on page 63, but it doesnt show overloads.
