Budget progressive front spring?

Can anyone point me to a good value on a pair of PROGRESSIVE front springs for our trucks? I have a 73 and looking for a 2" drop. I cut a coil out of my originals and they are too bouncy. Yes I have new shocks. Maybe we don't have any good choices as I haven't found one. I'd like to stay close to $100 for the pair.

Re: Budget progressive front spring?

What 'stock' spring? What 'new' shock?

Cutting 1-coil will not alter spring rate significantly. It's usually about 10-20% increase in spring rate & most stock springs aren't very high.

What are your travel dimensions vs. your shocks dimensions?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

"Budget" manufacturers won't list spring rates; they usually just advertise how much drop the springs should yield. I can't ever remember seeing an aftermarket/drop/progressive rate spring for the front of C10's.

Was the truck 'bouncy' before you cut the coil off?
