Here's an old forestry truck I recently found- wide and low flat bed - with the 327 alleged to have forged crank and vette heads

Re: 69 one ton dually flatbed fun!!!!!!!!!!

After many years of watching it sit around I will be getting my Dad's 1969 one ton dually this fall. It has a 327 and was running when parked with a carb problem. It has a hydralic lift flat bed. Hopefully the western Oregon rust hasn't ate it up too bad. I'll get some pics posted next trip over there.

UPDATE: Brother send a photo of the front end, can't get a good side shot. It has a metal stake bed.

Re: 69 one ton dually flatbed fun!!!!!!!!!!

Well here i am,few years down the line! Many life changes including a new wife! Wife decided to take this old c-30 and do some more fixin up,including a new 283 small block with all the brackets for the a/c and power steerind and a coat of new white paint! Let the fun begin again!! LOL! A few pics but they look the same as before besides a few thousand miles on the truck! Also have a decent GMC grille and radiator support so it will be a faux GMC.

Ive never seen a factory 9ft. bed sit that low ...wonder if someone rebuilt the subframe.

Here's mine after removing the wood subframe and replacing w/ channel iron, relocating it about 3 inches lower on the frame.
