Been busy fixing snowmobile, chainsaw, plowing snow, fixing a UTV. Here is a pic of gage cluster installed, works great and its nice to have confidence and numbered readouts! I know its not for the purists but I have other trucks for the purist in me. Sometimes you just have to modify things to have fun. Now I need to figure out why the cluster lights and fuel gauge aren't working. Seemed to be a problem with the old cluster too so it must be in the truck.

Also here is preview of the upcoming tcase rebuild and 7 speed conversion

Thank you New Process Gear Co for coming up with a good product and not changing it between 1970 Chevy and 1993 Dodge applications

This is off a Cummins fronted np205 but it bolts right up since the shafts are the same.

Is that a gear vendors overdrive? What transmission are you going with?

On the dash lights, might be the headlight switch. They get touchy over time. Mine has been glitchy and I know it's in that switch.

Yep, GV I took off a 1st gen cummins truck I parted out. Going to run the SM465. Should be a good setup with the GV filling in the wide ratios nicely.

As for the electrical issues, I replaced the switch with another one I had here and there was no change

Update, been driving the truck some on weekends for a few weeks now. Still need to get dash lights fixed but other than that its running really good. It rides pretty good with the skyjacker softride setup and these goodyear 17 inch tires I had laying around. It gets a lot of looks and people comment on it being neat and how they want one. Here are some pics.

Well I finally got more than 2 days off in a row without a ton of commitments, so I worked on the truck a little.

I rebuilt the old front driveshaft that was clanking in 4wd. I rebuilt the cardan assembly with 2 new Ujoints and a new centering ball setup. I used a little press and it was not as hard as I thought it would be. Hardest part is reinstalling or removing the shaft thanks to the ridiculous backwards bolts on the transfer case output yoke. Thankfully it wasn't too hard to pull the seat and high hump out to get access from in the cab.

I also put the old 235/85/16's back on for driveway plow truck duty.

Runs really smooth now. I didn't balance the front driveshaft but probably don't need to since i don't use 4wd on the road. This is only on the roads in the summer and my personal driveway and acreage in the winter.

I hate that backwards flange !!! Of course I didn’t think about removal of the seat and high hump.. 🙄
