'77 GMC Jimmy found

Hello there.

I just posted this on the truck page, and didn't notice the Blazer section...my Bad.
I usually hang around the 67-72 pages as I am a current owner of a '69 C-10 with a 396 and some other goodies.

I just came across a '77 GMC (not sure if it is called a Blazer), 2wd, with what appears to be a nice option package. 350/350, AC, tilt column, power windows, power doors locks, Rally rims, etc. It even has the original plaid seats/tan interior/with console in good condition. Original color is pale yellow, but has been repainted in white on the exterior. It has the hardtop over the driver/passenger area, and a removable rear roof.
The truck is in good shape, but does need motor work as it has a knock.
I don't have a picture of the SPID, but should be able to this week.
I have liked this body style for a number of years and finally found one in decent shape.
Basic questions here...unusual? Rare? Can anyone share a picture or two of what the original paint scheme might look like?
Google has got close to showing what an original looks like, but no too much in original shape.

The truck is not going anywhere anytime soon, so I have plenty time to decide if I want to make this one mine. It has a clear title, and is mostly rust free being from central Texas originally.

Sounds like as nice find.if it's in good shape and for a good price.if it's a 2wd and a fully loaded truck than its petty rare.77 was the first year for pw pl and power tailgate and being that it is 2wd its petty a hard one to find.dont no if this is the right color or not but here's a 2 tone 78 2wd.

Thanks Zachary.
The one that has been offered to me is complete and is in drivers condition now, needs an engine (overhaul or replaced), but does run. No rust to be found.
I think a fully loaded Jimmy, for only $1500 is a good deal.

for that price I'd buy it on the spot.i paid 1600 for my 87 jimmy with a bad transmission.and ail the 2wd blazer I looked at where at 4k for a good one or 2500 for just a body and frame.and finding a runing and driving blazer for less than 2k is hard enough around here much less a 2wd.

Re: '77 GMC Jimmy found

It has been a couple of weeks since I posted.
Here are some pics of the truck I bought.

Everything that is "missing" was included, door panels, front bumper, grill, etc.
I wish I knew how the color scheme was originally, but can only guess at this point. Some members have shared some choices of what was available in another post and I have Googled some as well. White is fine for now, but it will be going back to its roots as I make this thing better.

Re: '77 GMC Jimmy found

That's a lot better shape than I thought it would have been in it will make a nice project for sure.so what are your plans for the truck? And for paint scheme if it was 2 tone it probably was yellow and white like this.
