1972 c20 big block

Not sure if it's anyone's on here, but there's a big block 72 3/4 ton custom for sale about 200 miles away from me. Says aboutn90k original miles, rockers, supports, and floors are pretty rotted out. Runs pouring gas down the carb. Could own it for 2,000 but not knowing much about these I don't want to be driven by impulse on it.

Re: 1972 c20 big block

That's a lot of rust, rust is expensive to fix.........

What would you be doing with the truck?

A wise man once told me to buy the best truck I could afford to find. Meaning not to buy a project or fixer upper. I should have listened sooner. I paid to paint one rusty truck and I have an original rust free truck. Purchase price was way different, but so was the end price.....

Re: 1972 c20 big block

If it were a half ton I'd be more interested since I've been on the hunt for one after letting two get past me. Eventually I'd like to set the big block and drive train in the shortbed bed and chassis I have someday after I get my building going. But I feel that's too much to pay for just the drive train when the rest of the pickup is pretty far gone.

Re: 1972 c20 big block

I can get it for 1800. Like stated before there's a lot of rust in it, full floors, rockers, supports etc. what's a decent price for one like this?
