I appreciate the complements! She’s a project for sure, still need to adjust the fenders, doors, hood etc. The paint is rattle can Krylon Satin Black, the truck will need to be stripped before real paint anyway so I wasn’t too concerned about using the cheap stuff. One of these days it will have a clean satin finish paint job along with a clean bare basic interior, and maybe a rat motor.

It is without a doubt the most fun driving vehicle I’ve ever owned. Everything about it seems to be “comfortable”, the ride, the seats, the stance, everything.

Got some specs on that, like drop and wheels/tires? I love the way it fits together, dude. Then again, I'm kind of partial to black steps.

Front: 2 1/2 Bell Tech's, cut 1 coil, 15 X 8 with 4 1/4 BS, 225/60/15 tires.

Rear: Axle flip, 2" blocks, 15 X 8 with 4 1/4 BS, 235/75/15LT tires. I do need to add a C-Notch, it doesn't hit often but it does hit from time to time.

I hope you go the other direction, that truck deserves a nice finish. I'm not usually a stepside fan, but that one has perfect stance. I think I will cut one coil off my dropped springs; I already have spindles, I just want a wee bit of rake with the rear flip kit.

heres mine 81 short bed 305/350 2200 stall converter long tube headers/flow masters droped 4in front 6in rear with axel flip still working on inside

it started as me trying to bag it for super cheap, as you can see I now have more money into the bags than the whole rest of the truck combined....ugh

thats my prob ive found full kits for like 8grand paid 1800 for my truck when i bought it dont want to piece mine together tryin to get a whole kit but they are expensive wanna play gotta pay though

yea, I pieced mine together and it wasn't too bad. it was like $1500 roughly to get everything. You can find complete kits for like $700 or $800 but they aren't as good of equipment. If you piece it together you can get exactly what you want. I didn't know what I wanted when I started so I just kept researching and asking a lot of questions.

well, bag setup isn't going to matter when it comes to laying frame. you're going to need to Z the front of the frame or get some kind of drop member which isn't cheap, and you're going to have to Z the rear of the frame or do a big step notch. you're also going to need drop spindles or control arms or both. you're going to need a link setup of some sort in the rear, and then your bag setup on top of all that...I can give you my opinion of what you should do as far as your bag setup but it's really going to depend on what you want to do with it. if you're going to want to play with it a lot then you're going to want a lot of volume and a bunch of compressors, if you just want to raise it when you drive and lower it when you park then you won't need near as much.

wow that sound alot more in depth than i was thinking but eventually thats what i want to do but for now my 4/6 drop works do need to get a c notch till then though axel hit frame
