converter blues??

MAN i am pondering which way to go with the converter choice. i just read up on the spragless converter. it sounds like the way to go as far as racing. but it will not let the drive line freewheel is my understanding. so its probably not good for the streets as far as really killing the mileage.. which i want to run on. so instead of 4 miles to the gallon i will get 2 right..

in all seriousness what are you guys ruining.. pros and cons of each. i am talking sprag or no sprag.. is anyone running one on the street?
thanks for your help..
