np205

Hello!

I'm looking for the specs on the bolt/stud that the 4x4 floor shifter pivots on that is attached to the adapter that connects the np205 with the manual transmission. 1972 chevy 3/4 ton. If anyone knows where I can get one great, otherwise I will mfg one

Many Thanks

Re: np205

I have two currently in my garage with the two shifters that go with them (I dont know which I am going to use yet, both from sm465/np205's as far as I know). I dont know where you could buy one, possibly someone on the board here has an extra one.

The one on the top is for an older style adapter, I believe, it uses a 7/16 - 14tpi 2 1/2" long bolt (with a few washers)

The one on the bottom is I assume a newer style, 9/16 - 11 tpi 2 5/16" overall long. It has a 3/4 x 1 1/2 shoulder with a 1/2 x1/16 groove for grease. This set up seems to have a lot of sideways slop in the shifter, I may need to drill out and add a bushing to the lever.

I hope this helps some.
