Looking sweet as it sits! I'm afraid to grind one of my side panels down because it probably going to need more work than your panel.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 60-66

Im going to have to block the crap out of the bed because it used to be a long bed. I also put a whole new door skin on the drivers door and made the whole bottom 6-8 Inches of the passenger door "I don't recommend that btw, it was a huge pain in the butt". Ive almos done all the patching and metal work but there is a little still left to do. I just hope it turns out as well as I'm picturing in my head.

What did or are you going to do about your trailing arms hitting the frame ahead of your bags when laying out? I like the bags mounted where they are. Should allow for less air needed to get to ride height and make it ride better.

What size wheels are you going to be using? The trailing arms must be below the scrub line with 15" wheels.

Here are some quotes from other threads from smarter people than me.

If you want to go more than 1-1/2" then you need to increase wheel diameter.

So if you have 18" dia. wheels you could use 3" blocks, as follows:
18" dia. - 15" dia. = 3" diameter difference,
3" dia. / 2 = 1-1/2" radius difference,
1-1/2" increase in wheel radius + 1-1/2" blocks = 3" blocks

Re: How about some pics of bagged 60-66

ahh damn i never thought of that... luckly i really dont need the rear of my truck to go as low as it does right now (the front wont go as low as the back) so i will rethink the size of my lowering blocks... im glad you mentioned that

Thanks man! I can't wait to see it finish either! I just finished painting the front end and put most of it together but I realized that I didn't get 90 deg air fittings so hopefully I can get some in the morning and finish the front bags today.

Ya, your blocks are huge. I was gonna mention the scrub line as well. I have 15" as well and my 2" blocks are just below the scrub line. I am running bias ply tires, so they should make up the difference if I go flat.

I was thinking of using porterbuilts tubular arms to clear the frame and mounting my bags similar to yours. I really don't like bags right on top of the axle.

Yup. Both door cards and shift boot are made from old pot seed burlap bags.

I just saw your post, they are 50 pontiac tail lights. Thank you!
Honestly, I can't take credit for the idea another guy on here had done it to his and I thought it looked awesome so I ordered some from Speedway and put them in. A lot of stuff from speedway is junk but these are actually pretty good quality, they have glass lenses and everything and they also sell the cups to french them in. It was actually pretty easy to install but I still need to figure out my access holes but I'm not worrying about that until I finish up the bags.

Dloe65, Do you have any better pictures of how you trimmed your fenders? I need to do that to mine soon and was wondering how did it. Are you keeping the inner fenders? I'm going to try and keep mine but I'm going to have to modify them a lot. Great looking truck btw! I'm painting mine a really dark metallic brown, not many people like brown but I think it looks nice.
