Spot light thread

Spot lights are great. Put all your pics and ideas here. ...
Anybody own this truck? I wonder where the handle comes through the inside.

Re: Spot light thread

I have original GM Unity ones on both my trucks. They are awesome, and so well engineered, on the inside you dont even notice the handle and its never in the way.

Re: Spot light thread

I have one, plus pieces and parts for another, and 4 extra PAR bulbs. I want to mount one in my '71 Jimmy, but not until I mount the rollbar, as I don't trust my A-pillar alone.
BTW the Unity Company's part number for the GM 67-72 Truck A-pillar outside mounting bracket is p/n 202.

I had never seen one through the cowl before.

Re: Spot light thread

I wonder if the one through the cowl is a dummy. Or just one you position from outside. I have one for driver side of the '72. I'm waiting until I restore the truck. Might end up using a cab light cab I have. It's happy in it's box for now.

Thumbs up Re: Spot light thread

The early 60 Impala mounted on the front fenders and through the cowl but never seen it on a truck!
I have a nice 60 model I got off E bay about a years ago.
I plan to mount it on the ramp truck.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Spot light thread

I have passenger and driver side GM short handle Unity spotlights on my Blazer. 67-72 specific Unity pillar mounts for both.

Re: Spot light thread

I can answer that. Yes it does. They were a popular item back when SUVs were SUVs, not SLVs* and the top came off.
