Beginning of 1949 3600 build into a 3100

Well I finally picked out my truck.
1949 3600 5w with the usual problem areas.
Someone already shortened the bed 9 inches.
Picked her up for 1100 out of NC
I'll keep her looking rough with clean interior bagged with a turbo ed 5.3
Just time and money. Getting married in may so hopefully after that get to start doing big things to it.
Only picture I got now is this one.

You better do the big things now, Marriage for some reason makes wives hate your side projects especially if they take up her parking spot in the garage. Its like the pastor gives them a vaccination at the wedding, 3 weeks late your truck has to go.

Aside from that it looks like a good truckr for a project.

man, I couldn't disagree more. I bought my '49 in 1973. got married in '81. thru three kids & all the ups and downs, my wife NEVER suggested that I sell the truck. But we have a strange relation ship - I buy her clothes & jewelry, she buys me tools & truck parts. life is very good.

Lol she don't mind it. She hated my 55 Belair
But loved my rat rod I had. 46 cab on 32 model a frame.
As long as she has a pool. New pocketbook every birthday Christmas valentine's anniversary she's good

maybe a good idea to buy a few of the big ticket items before the wedding and see how the mood (and the mother in law's side bar) goes. if they are poo poo'ed before the wedding it isn't going to get any better after, usually.

$1100, heck I'll give you 12 dollars for it right now! I'm starting to see a trend here, this makes 3 of us working in the same shop playing this old junk. Congrats on the on the new toy Philip.
