I've ridden in the same setup - though the seats were less plush - on the island of St. John in the Carribean. I think it was in an F150. They use them to run groups of tourists around from hotels to the dock.

First time I've ever seen that setup on an older truck but I guess if they've been doing it right along they've been on old trucks before.

I've ridden in a similar setup, as a kid. Except there were no seats, just a cardboard box to keep the slivers out of my bum... When I got my drivers license I got promoted to the front seat and my friends got to ride in back up to the lake or rivers in the summer to swim. Girls alway got to ride up front unless there were more than two or three...
