'67 C10 Weight

Scaled the 'Burb today and figured I'd post it here for future reference.

1967 C10 Suburban (upper/lower rear doors), 350 (2-bolt main, cast crank, 4 bbl.), NP435, Dana 60 rear axle with stock wheels and 265/75-15 Firestone LE's (spare was in vehicle), with full-length dual exhaust, HD springs/shocks, overload springs, PS, PB, but no rear seat and nearly empty on fuel. Weighed in at 4,600 lbs. Heavy girl!

Re: '67 C10 Weight

I thought I saw the curb weight as 3800lbs, so I was shocked when I went to the dump once and asked for the weight...over 5000lbs. It included me, almost full tank, some computer equipment I was there give them and a box of tools and such.

Re: '67 C10 Weight

Yeah, I was just looking at the original '67 weight charts on GM Heritage and it gives the base weight for a V-8 with upper/lower tailgates at 4,100 and some-odd pounds so I was surprised! I was also surprised at the published front/rear axle weight distribution: front 1,700# and change, rear over 2,400! No wonder it goes so well in the snow!
